Executive Team

Dan Bendele President & CEO	Dan founded Independent Printers Worldwide, Inc., in 1998. He has served as President of IPW since its inception. Dan’s unique background blends financial expertise with a wide range of “industry insider” talents. Hallmarks of this experience are executive assignments with International Paper and the Director of Procurement at Cadmus Communications. Residing in Powhatan, Virginia, Dan’s family of five children and wife of 24 years, Kyra, are a stabilizing force in his career.
John Kunce Senior Executive VP	John has been a member of the key executive team since 1998. He brings over thirty-five years of manufacturing and purchasing management experience to IPW. John resides in York, Pennsylvania, along with Jadine, his wife of 41 years. John and Jadine are proudest of their two children and nine grandchildren, which add immeasurably to their hectic, professional schedules.
Kyle Droescher Executive VP & CFO	Kyle comes to IPW after serving as a key executive with Overnite Transportation. Serving in that strategic financial position, Kyle was a pivotal leader in their transition into UPS. Kyle provides valuable CFO guidance to IPW Corporate and also spearheaded the development of IPW Corporate Services. He is our “go to” guy for strategic planning, exit planning and a wide host of financial concerns. Kyle resides in Powhatan, Virginia with his wife of 20 years, Amy, and their three children.
Tom Sturgeon Executive VP Admin	With over 20 years of experience in the printing industry, Tom began his career in printing with a B.S. degree in Print Management from Western Michigan University. Tom has served our industry in many segments from packaging to newspapers, operating in roles that include prepress and pressroom operations, technical and regional sales, customer service and quality control. Tom resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife of 19 years, Allison, and their three children.
Hap Bendele Executive VP Sales	Residing in Oregon, Hap Bendele gives IPW a strong presence right in the middle of the vast print market in the western United States. Skilled for many years in the art of paper making, Hap is now assisting IPW printers in acquiring the very best service and products from our selected paper suppliers. Hap and Tammie, his wife of 31 years, take great joy in their two married children, a son still at home and six grandchildren. Hap has taken the mantel of leading IPW sales & customer service.
Rudy Gonzalez Executive VP of Strategic Sourcing	Rudy Gonzalez joined IPW full-time in May of 2009 as Vice President of Strategic Sourcing. A Certified Supply Chain Professional, Rudy developed his logistics and procurement expertise working in the paper & printing industries with Fortune 500 companies International Paper and Cadmus Communications. Prior to joining Independent Printers Worldwide, Rudy developed his management and marketing skills as president of a multi-million dollar federal contracting firm and successfully constructed more than thirty projects located in high security federal government installations. Rudy’s entrepreneurial skills, customer focus, and relentless pursuit of innovation and process improvement will allow him to serve our IPW members well as we work together to create the future of independent printing.
